Kuala Lumpur: Kuala Lumpur City Gallery by ARCH [SP]
|Marvel at the largest scale model of Kuala Lumpur at Kuala Lumpur City Gallery!|
Wanna see the entire city of Kuala Lumpur at a glance – for free? Whether its your first time or not in the Malaysian capital, the Kuala Lumpur City Gallery offers an amazing overview of the city in the form of an impressive scale model of Kuala Lumpur! Measuring an area of 40 by 50 feet, the model is the largest of its kind, housed in a century-old heritage building in the heart of the city, the Merdeka Square.
Artistically lit up, the scale model is housed in a darkened room and presented through a synchronized light show that highlights its notable districts and landmarks such as the Petronas Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur Tower, as well as future skyscrapers of the city, like the Tun Razak Exchange and Warisan Merdeka Tower.

Besides the KL city model, the gallery offers a newseum on the first level that outlines the city’s history, as well as other scale models of notable landmarks like Masjid Jamek and Merdeka Square. On the second floor, one can observe the craftsmanship of the models made of wood veneer by watching master craftsmen assemble different models and souvenir items in their showroom.
The gallery is the brainchild of the ARCH group, a wood veneer handicraft manufacturer. There is also a large souvenir shop where you may take home ARCH souvenirs; as well as a small workshop, where you can assemble a souvenir yourself! The lobby also provides a wealth of information for kickstarting your exploration of the city, so the KL City Gallery should naturally be your first stop when you visit Kuala Lumpur.
